Skydive San Joaquin Valley is the dream of business co-owner
George Kunz. George is a skydiver with more than 3,000 jumps. He holds ratings as a tandem instructor, AFF instructor
and static-line instructor.
George's mother never should have used the line "If all your friends were
jumping off bridges, would you have to jump too?" Because George said yes and completed all requirements for his
BASE status, by jumping off bridges, antennaes, structures and earth.
George holds a commercial pilot's license
and always wanted to own a drop zone.
In 2004, George finally found the piece of property to make his dream come
true. Located at the extreme south end of the beautiful San Joaquin Valley, our property is surrounded by mountains
and still enjoys lovely Southern California weather that allows us to jump all year round.
Fewer than 25 miles
southwest of Bakersfield, and just an hour's drive north of Los Angeles, our facility lies in a perfect location for skydiving.
With an elevation of 350 feet above sea level, we truly give you 13,000 feet of altitude to jump from. We have
160 acres of flat, open space and more than an acre of grass designated for our landing area.
